A confession... and a softball team

I am a terrible blogger. I always have been. I start out strong and then fall by the wayside. Doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy, because I have, but it means that life gets in the way. :)

So, today is the day for mass blogging! lol. Starting with a fun and freezing shoot for Sachse High School Varsity Softball! We had to work around all the teen schedules, and the day that worked for them, well, there was a high of 34 degrees. 😳

But these girls rocked it and made it look effortless!

Senior Season!

Senior season is here… or has it been here? I tend to have senior sessions year round! No complaints here, they are some of my favorite sessions to do!!

This lovely lady is Carol. I have known Carol and her family for a while now. Her younger brother was in my 12 year old son’s kindergarten class! Her father was then the boy’s baseball coach. She and her sister were then my daughter’s teammates once my daughter started volleyball in high school. So, I was honored and thrilled to capture her Senior Portraits.

These, however, are just the beginning. Her mother reached out and asked if I would do just a quick session with her letterman jacket before we do her longer session in the Spring. Makes perfect sense to me! Get the jacket pics out of the way when, you know, it’s jacket weather in Texas! So, we met up at the high school one afternoon and in about 20 minutes, captured these lovely images! <3

I know some may be excited for the return of Friday Night Lights, but in this house, it's volleyball season!! My 15 year old plays for her high school's JV team but we have friends on the Freshman and Varsity teams as well. I was so excited when our Varsity team asked me to take their "fun" team pictures this year! These girls are not only amazing on the court, but they are kind, courteous and excellent examples to students and other players off the court as well. We had a great time at this photo shoot and a special thank you to TRU by Hilton in Garland for letting us use your hotel lobby!
